Nadia Beschastnaya — cinematographer, short-film director, visual artist, photographer
I work with light, movement, and silence.
As a cinematographer and short-film director, I create films where the visible and the invisible coexist — where story unfolds not only through action, but through presence, rhythm, and breath.
My practice moves between narrative and documentary cinema, as well as poetic commercial work. In short form, I often combine directing and cinematography, combining them into personal visual language.
In photography, I explore myth, archetype, and fragile inner states. I build visual worlds suspended between reality and imagination — spaces where the human figure becomes both symbol and living presence.
I am drawn to natural aesthetics, to pauses, to the tension between stillness and motion. The human being — and their inner transformation — remains at the center of everything I create.
With experience across the full creative process — from concept to post-production — I approach each project as a living organism, attentive to its structure, rhythm, and soul.
